Life has been moving fast. So fast, I haven't had time to blog and I was afraid any blogging would be dated as soon as I finished it. I graduated with my M.A. in Bible from BJU. We said goodbye to everyone at Grace Bible. I start my M. Div. in Urban Missions at Westminster this fall. I'll just be taking one class, probably Mission to the City taught by Manny Ortiz on Thursday nights.
God has given Sarah and I house. Sarah and her family saw it and liked while I was still in Greenville. I had to make the decision to buy it without seeing it. It seems like my blind faith has been rewarded. Our real estate agent called the house "the best kept house in Juniata." The couple that lives there now is Pentecostal. They said they've been praying for a year that a Christian couple would buy their house. They said they've been keeping the house "as if Jesus was going live in it." The house needs no work, which is good for someone as unhandy as I am and rare in our neighborhood where all the houses are fifty to hundred years old. We got the house for a lot less than what it was worth and we probably already have equity on it. The closing date is June 28th. God's goodness is such a stinging rebuke to our Thomas like cynicism.
With a house and a wedding on the horizon, I needed a job. And again God over-provided. I was disappointed when the summer job that I had lined up with Central Salvage driving thier trucks fell through. They weren't busy this summer they said. But this past Friday I was offered a job a TRION Group, a small company that gives benefits counseling. I'll be working in their customer service department answering the phones. The pay and the benefits are great. And it seems like a great company to work for. I start the 23rd. I feel like Peter, kneeling on a boat that was sinking under the weight of God's provision, "Depart from me Lord, I am a sinful man."
It's great to be back with my fiancée. It's exciting to be back at my church too. What I'm enjoying most right now is that I don't have to say goodbye to either of them anytime soon.
I was about to move on to summer plans, but this blog is too long already and I'd rather hear yours. Anybody want to share your thrilling, life altering plans for the summer?
