It's an unfortunate, unpleasant reality: our culture influences our view of sex more than the Bible does. It's pure absurdity for the church to allow sitcoms, Hollywood, and paperback novels to define something that God created. Sex and Supremacy of Christ pleads with us to look at sex through Biblical eyes.

Edited by John Piper and Justin Taylor, with chapters by the likes of Mohler, Powlison and Mahaney., the book attacks our culture's erroneous thinking about sex. Each chapter tackles a different aspect of sexuality, addressing singles, couples, victims of abuse and homosexuality. I appreciated the diversity of topics and people addressed. If single Christian guys only read books for single Christian guys, how do they minister to their married friends or homosexual co-workers?

Everyone thinks about sex, but everyone is afraid to discuss it. We can't let this fear of awkwardness drive us from the battle for biblical thinking about sex. It's almost as if Christians throw up their hands, shut their eyes and say, "This is too uncomfortable, too hard and too private to deal with." And then proceed to let our sinful hearts and wicked culture deal with sex unchecked by the power of biblical teaching. I appreciate the tactful courage of this book as it approaches a difficult, rarely discussed subject.

This is a book that will reshape your thinking. Sex and the Supremacy of Christ is a big step towards the church reclaiming and defining a biblical viewpoint of sexuality. In a world filled with racy billboards, weak marriages and fallen pastors we need a fresh, biblical vision of sex and the supremacy of Christ.
